What is Meducation?
Meducation (meducation.health) is South African software for GP practices that composes personalised one-page patient education brochures. Who writes the content?
Clinicians. Every piece moves through a draft, review and approval workflow, and nothing can appear on a brochure without sign-off from a clinical reviewer. Content is citation-backed.
How does Meducation handle patient data under POPIA?
Meducation stores no patient personal information: no names, ID numbers, dates of birth or contact details. Personalisation is driven by non-identifying tags such as age band and comorbidities, never by patient records — so no patient PII enters the system, and it sits outside POPIA's obligations for patient records. (POPIA is the Protection of Personal Information Act, South Africa's data protection law.)
Does Meducation give medical advice?
